These floaters are specially designed to keep your bait at the proper feeding level, rather than having them sink to the bottom. Uusally one is all that is needed with salmon egg bait sacs.
When used in a stream or river with current flow, the floaters will help keep the sac from snagging the bottom and present a more natural drift.
